LANAP laser treatment for periodontal disease, Have you had it? Did it work?

I have perio problems. Have been having them for years despite deep cleans/root planes/scrupulous cleaning at home. I am now thinking about the LANAP laser treatment. Has anyone here had it? Did it work? How much did it cost with all the consultations etc? Can you recommend anywhere (am in London). I also have occlusion and bruxism quite badly so the combo is pushing my front teeth out of alignment/place. Is there any hope for me?

Hi, I know your post is a bit old but I am in a similar position. I was diagnosed with gum disease in Spain. British dentists didn’t even notice. Noticed recession around two years ago. Currently have around 2-3mm recession on top front three teeth. One area particularly worse than the other. Like you I also went to an NHS dentist and would not recommend them at all. She had no idea what she was doing or was just too lazy to bother doing the proper deep clean. I broke the bank to pay private and I’m a student with no job. Trust me, better to go without than end up with no teeth. Haven’t had LANAP, but was considering Pinhole and was told by dentists to be weary. He was right - I did research and found several people said their gums had recessed again after a few months. I was scared to go for the gum graft but people advised me to do it before bone loss sets in because at that point there is no going back. How are your gums now? Did you have the treatment?

Also following with interest. What is the difference between LANAP and laser cleaning by a hygeinist for periodontal work? Anyone know ? Looking for clinic recommendations too.
