Mcv volume 60.3 iron 7.8, ferritin 31 transferrin saturation 12%

Iron and ferritin look a little on the low side, but not low enough to indicate iron-deficient anaemia. I had that last year and mine was 9.2. The plus side, daily iron supplements made a real difference. Obviously I am not a doctor, so please get proper advice.

Definitely iron deficient. MCV should be round the 80-100 mark. Transferrin saturation should be 20-50%. Ferritin is a pretty pointless test unless done with CRP (ferritin is released as part of the inflammatory response), but even if your CRP is normal, the ferritin is at the low end of the scale.

Can't comment on whether or not you are anaemic without your Hb result. You can be iron deficient without being anaemic and you can be anaemic without it having been caused by iron deficiency.
