ds is really miserable - got red pin prich spots in a circle on his face and on his right hand, anyone got a clue what is wrong????

ds is really miserable has been crying pretty much none stop all day, has these tiny red spots on his face and hands but no other symptoms exept for being extreemly miserable....any idea what is wrong cos i am starting to lose the will to live i can't listen to this crying much longer.......

no more spots and they haven't turned into blisters, but he is still really really miserable and has a high temperature. so don't think it's chicken pox or HFM as the spots aren't blistered but i have no clue what is wrong.

he had a tummy bug a week ago and hasn't been right ever since, he hasn't eaten a proper meal for god knows how long. phoned nhs direct but they weren't very helpful

what a shame, u should fone nhs direct again and insist you see a dr, he cant go on like that

rubella is a faint rash and a bit off-colour. Its the easiet one to deal with.
I can't remember if the HFM spots always blister or whether it takes ages. So many years ago now.

unfortunately our out of hours doctors service is a primary care centre in the next town, and to be honest i don't hold much faith in the doctors there. when i had meningitis they told me i had a bad headache and to go home and take paracetamol and when one of my friends had an ectopic prgnancy and her tube had ruptured they also sent her home saying she had a migrane and to take some ibuprofen..........

That's such a shame, hope you get to see a doctor first tomorrow thing and that he gets better soon.

How is he now? did you find out what was wrong in the end?

no he's still poorly, now saying his ear and throat hurt and he still has the rash

got 2nd doctors appt in 20 minutes....
