I have codeine herefor fibromyalgia. I normally take 1x or 2 x 15mg tablets when it gets bad. It isn't touching the pain right now.

I am a very non-risk taking person and want to see it in blackand white before taking more......

I am a pyschiatric nurse but wouldn't like to comment.... I would suggest you speak to your GP. Sorry if that isn't very helpful but your GP knows what is best for you in the way of pain killers.

Have you tried taking any homeopathic remedys to help ease the pain?

Prescribed co-codamal is generally 30mg codine and 5oomg paracetamol, pharmacist will be able to tell you max dosages and they are open on sundays.

60mgs x 3/24 hours is fairly common where I work.Beware the constipation though!

sugarfree · 24/11/2007 18:05

Don't go taking it just because I tell you though,I could be anyone!

mmelody · 24/11/2007 18:48

60mg is a common dose or you could try taking paracetomol as well as the codeine.
