Excruciating knee pain - best support bandage

I’ve had a really sore knee since last summer when we went cycling. It wasn’t too bad to start with, but over time has got worse. My Gp isn’t interested, so I’ve used BUPA via my dh work ‘perk’ iygwim.
So, the consultant saw me and I’m going for an MRI on Friday, but my god my knee is so bad. It’s kept me awake before, but this is all day now.
I’ve had a few different support bandages, but nothing that makes any difference.
Are there any that can help support my knee. It’s bloody agony and making me do miserable 😩

How did it go?

I also get painful knees and have never really found a support that doesn't either slip down a bit or catch the back of my knee

This one has probably been the best Knee Brace with Side Stabilizers & Patella Gel Pads for Knee Support https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07F9W9BHX/ref=cmswwrcppapiglttfabcW2SF66F19E6P3P6GX644??encoding=UTF8&psc=1

But you might find the plain one you pull on better!

Hope the mri went ok!

I tried all kinds of knee braces to no avail but then I discovered this simple strap which does make a difference and is not as cumbersome to wear.

The MRI went fine, though when the nurses prepped me for the scan, they sort of were (ok?) when they saw my knee. Not sure they saw something I didn’t 🤷🏼‍♀️
Took a while and didn’t like the deep loudness of the machine. My right leg was restless and not particularly comfortable as I have two metal plates and 19 screws from a break in that one. I did tell them about it before the scan but gritted my teeth through it. Just wanted it over with.
