So I’ve had haemorrhoids for quite a long time, since the birth of my five year old. They don’t cause me any trouble. I did check with the doctor that bleeding after going to the toilet was okay and she said it was quite common. Not to worry.

Well Ive just used the toilet and the pan was full of blood, as though I was on my period!!!! That’s never happened before. Is that still okay?

Yes it's normal I get it a lot. Have you any pain in the area? If not it's likely an internal one. You can get suppositories from the chemist that can help them reduce and stop the bleeding.

Gosh! I was really startled lol. No pain.

Speaking from grisly experience, it might be a thrombosis haemorrhoid which has ruptured. Such fond memories….

Yep!! It’s awful isn’t it

FreeBritnee · 06/07/2021 14:50

Oh gawd lol. Well I’m not going to investigate unless absolutely necessary.

I have had haemorrhoids since the birth of my dd 6 years ago and just the other day I had what you described, the toilet full of
Fresh red blood after a poo (sorry TMI). It only happened that once and not since so I've just ignored it, though it did worry me at first
