Rash triggered by cold?

Can cold conditions trigger a rash?

I have just come in from walking the school run, and the outsides of my calves have sprouted patches of very painful rash. The skin there does get very dry and I've had this rash a few times before, but this is the first time I've connected it to the cold.

Dermatitis is basically any inflammation of the skin - so I've definitely got dermatitis!

Had a bit of a Google, and some forms of dermatitis can be triggered by the cold, so it's not unfeasible. No treatment though, in case anyone's in the same position, just keeping the skin moisturised and slapping on the hydrocortisone if the rash is particularly bad.
