Sooooo long story short
I suspected a UTI and had macrobid for 5 days but then had delayed allergic reaction with hives. A few days on I then felt pressure in perineum so back to Dr and was given Cephalexin for 7 days.
However it didn't feel fully gone so did a dipstick first thing at home and had nitrites and was trace pink (not highest pink) and so waited again and had a sleep and 5 hours later got up went and showered before peeing and had trace nitrites again and no blood or leukocytes.
My nurse rang to say my culture had no significant growth so why do I have nitrites? I'm now on more Cephalexin to mop anything up
