DS2 born early JUly at 9lbs. Had an episiotomy and second degree tear. Resumed 'marital relations (!)' about a month ago but it is very painful. Basically when DH's wiwi enters it is really painful (especially at the front, sort of stomach side as opposed to back side IYKWIM) although once in full swing it is less painful. Is this normal ? Had a C Section with DS1 and none of these issues ! Sorry if TMI.

I had a lot of pain also, after an episiotomy (the thing's I talk about on here! ), and it turned out I had a lot of hard scar tissue. I had to have an op to remove it - perhaps it might be the same for you?

wiwi?

Is he using some sort of playstation?

But yes normal - was painful for me for about 18 months with my first. Was okay after that though. If you are worried, get referred to a gynae who will have a good look and hopefully reassure you. Deep tissue damage can take a long time to heal.

Are you Breastfeeding? For some reason this seems to affect it and can make sex painful - hormones or something - sorry not very well informed on this but did experience it. If you do a general internet search on it you will find lots of information. I breast fed for 14 months and never really got back to normal for all that time. As I have said before this is information that the midwives don t tell you when encouraging breastfeeding.

I am still a bit sore 13 months later, but its much better than it was..I think it can take a long time to recover....

TBH I couldn't have even contemplated doing anything at 5 months after the birth, I was so sore..so it WILL get better.

thanks - will wait a bit longer and then maybe get a check up. Husband is getting frustrated and I am getting pi~~~d off with husband.
Oh yes,Wiwi is that playstation hand held thing isn't it ! Was struggling what to call it on line without sounding clinical or pornographic !
