Been in hospital a few days feeling very ill, they don’t know what’s wrong, have been ill for last six weeks, went to my doctor after my husband complained as I was not getting anywhere calling them. She called emergency ambulance, they thought I had sepsis, had bloods X-ray they sent me home, and I have carried on like this, terrible neck shoulder pain head pressure ringing in ears, severe dizziness, no appetite for 6 weeks, temperature, also have problems with feet can’t sit as they go red blue and are painful, originally though feet was down to slipped disc but seems not, feel like everything is connected but I’m getting passed around one says one thing then see someone else, I feel like I have really bad infection, but bloods clear, just raised inflammation, anyone have any reassurance, I’m thinking all sorts, had brain mri that seems ok, chest X-ray, I getting so anxious now as it feels like I can’t remember what it feels like to feel well

No treatment unfortunately as the consultant came round today and said it’s not vasculitos seems the doctor under her shouldn’t have said that, so I feel so down now, that’s the 3rd time they have named something then changed their mind, consultant said I can see you are very ill, still waiting for ct scan, then they want to do a pet scan, I’m hoping with all the bloods they are doing and scans they will find the problem, really finding it hurt x

Oh sweetheart, I checked back hoping that the tests would have shed some light, I'm so sorry that you're none the wiser. But, sometimes it's a process of elimination and at least the consultant sounds like they know what they're doing. Please don't lose heart, its just going to take a little longer to sort you out. This might be a stupid suggestion but have they done a pregnancy test (thinking ectopic)?

user1497873278 · 02/07/2021 07:20

Have they done a 9am cortisol blood as nausea / dizziness / bloating was what I presented with originally .

user1497873278 · 02/07/2021 10:31

No they haves I have had loads of bloods though, having a brain angiogram at some point

OP posts:
user1497873278 · 02/07/2021 12:03

Now terrified as lady in bed opposite has just told me how awful hers was, brilliant something else to worry about, thought brain angiogram sounded scary 😟

OP posts:
pickingdaisies · 02/07/2021 17:07

Findmeatthebeach · 02/07/2021 17:25

user1497873278 · 02/07/2021 18:19

I’m still the same having temperature, no appetite, but they are doing CT tomorrow, then a brain angiogram next week, bloods everyday, which they have said today nothing significant is showing up( not what they said a few days ago) but trying to get through each day, praying for some answers, thank you for your support it really helps

Insomniac here!

I hope you are managing to sleep- not easy in hospital.

What a horrible time you are having but I’ve got my fingers crossed for you that today’s tests will bring you at least some answers.

Thinking of you 💐💐

user1497873278 · 03/07/2021 06:34

Izzy24 thank you, I really hope so, had a google last night and scared myself, so that didn’t help, I had purposely not done so, but couldn’t help myself last night, worse case scenario kept coming up obviously 🙄

pickingdaisies · 03/07/2021 10:47

Oh for goodness sake don't Google! Watch some rubbish on Netflix or something. Replan your living room in your head. Anything to keep your mind occupied. Maybe read some mumsnet classic threads.

user1497873278 · 03/07/2021 11:07

Exactly what I’m doing, was managing until I looked up Dr google 🤨🙄
