Fungal nail infection? (Toe pic)

I've already started using curanail and am fairly sure it is but can't get a doctors appt tabs pharmacist was on their lunch when I went to our local place so just asking in case anyone on here can confirm that this is a fungal nail infection as suspected?

Thats how Dp's toe looks and he has a fungal nail infection he has given up on getting rid of. They are notoriously difficult to shift. Saying that, i started to develop one and it did go ny itsrlf 🤷🏼‍♀️

My DH has them and has given up getting rid and it seems my toes have succumb after nearly 10 years !

I had the exact same toe last year but worse!
I used this (sorry don't know how to do click link) with some disposable nail files. Only things that on worked.

Toe looked much better after 2 weeks tho with fungal infections you have to keep treating until the nail has completely grown out.
