Hi my 23 month old had a slight temp last fri night and off food a little but luckily no sickness or diaorreah and generally well in himself otherwise. I took him swimming on mon morning as usual as back to normal. When I was getting him dry I noticed a rash appearing mainly on his arms and legs, was happy that not meningitis after glass test and he has had all his jabs. Took him to doc on tues morning who said that it his glands in his neck up very slightly and thinks that it is more than likely a viral rash and not worried about it, she did say that it did look a bit like excema and to moisturise him, I told her that he did have a bit of excema on the top of his feet a few months back and I used aqueous cream along with other derma500/600 bath lotions which cleared it, she said to use this.
As the day went on it became more prominant and he even had it on the palm of his hands! Thankfully it does not appear to bother him and am moisturising him like mad. Basically what I wanted to ask was has anyone else experience a rash like this just on limbs with there children and do you think viral rash or excema?, hopefully not the latter! Would excema appear that quickly?
