DD (4 weeks) crying 8 hours+ per day....help please

My DD has been crying over 8 hours each day for the last 3 weeks. At first I thought it was reflux (DD 1 had it) and we tried Gaviscon which didn't work. The doctor then put her on Ranitadine which has made no difference either. Wednesday she cried 12 hours (hard crying) and had a temperature of 39 so I took her to A+E. They did a chest xray, took bloods and urine but found nothing telling me it may have been a virus. She seems to have an excessive amount of trapped wind and is in real pain. She'll be sound asleep and suddenley wake up screaming. Today she has been crying since 10am and is still awake. As you can imagine this is taking its toll on all of us.
Please, please does anyone have any suggestions or advice for me? We're seeing the GP tomorrow but will probably be told "it's just colic".

Sounds like colic, We had the same with DS, Colief (9-99 a bottle) and 5mls gripe in each bottle or before each feed, took him about a week to settle down with the colic then hope this helps and you are able to get some rest/quiet
