Is there anyone with orthopaedic knowledge (doctor/nurse/physio)?

DS fractured his medial malleolus and is due to have the hard cast removed soon. Ten days afterwards, he has been invited to a paintball party. I am of the opinion that it's too soon for him to be running around in the woods and potentially throwing himself on the ground (which is how he got the wretched fracture in the first place). I can't get through to the orthopaedic dept at the hospital - one line is disconnected, one permanently engaged and the other goes to a mailbox that's full. Am I right or am I being overly cautious? DS is 13 is normally very physically fit. TIA.

I'm not a medic, but I'd let him go. It will have healed by then, and seems a shame to not let him go because of a past injury. I'm aware that a bone can be quite vulnerable afterwards but you don't want to regret him not doing things. I would still seek an opinion from a medic though. I know I'd be the same about my youngest (had lots of injuries due to being accident prone!).
