Bangs to the head

Will someone talk to me about bangs to the head? DD16MTHS climbed onto pushchair and it tipped. She was on the hood. Fell onto slate floor and has had nosebleed from both nostrils. Does that = a broken nose?

go to a&e

she needs checking out

lulumama · 19/11/2007 16:19

she is probably absolutely fine, but a bang to the head and bleeding needs looking at, as she is a baby, she should be seen fairly quick,

Thanks - tis pointless ringing nhs direct, pile of crapola. When ds aged 2 took nurofen they couldn't advise me whether to go to hospitalo or not!!!

try calling your GP, they might be helpful, but certainly should be checked out

am presuming no loss of conciousness, vomiting, she is awake and reacting?

numptysmummy · 19/11/2007 16:24

Awake and walking and talking, tho slightly dozy intially. Couldv'e been shock tho. She is getting the wine out as we speak

If she seems ok I would personally leave it and watch her. DD is fairly accident prone and when she's done similar I watch her closely and check on her when I go to bed and in the night (not actually wake but stir her to make sure she isn't unconscious).

Ds2 also fell off sofa and moved the plates in his head and now has a permanent ridge Thinking perhaps the youngest numptys should wear crash helmets at all times!
