I’ve just opted out of the NHS share data , I have an elderly parent & due to health issues wondering as to whether or not to opt them in
Any thoughts please ?

It needs to be your parent's choice.

Opting out of the data collection has no impact on their care; data will still be shared as it currently is for direct care (e.g. GP writes a referral letter, hospital informs GP of outcome of tests, etc).

Here's some information from NHS Digital listing the benefits of the data collection and from MedConfidential giving a different perspective on it.
