Took norethisterone to delay period..but no period has come!Any ideas?...

I took norethisterone for 5 days, the last day was last sunday the 11th, a week later and have still not had a bleed.
I do have PCO but have had a regular 34-36 day cycle for past 12 months and was anticipating a period last saturday so thats why i took them.

I doubt very much I am PG would be a nearly immaculate conception if so! Just wondered if anyone has had a similar experience with this!!

I don't know about wise words, but I have some experience of taking Norethisterone - I have been taking it for about three months to treat heavy, prolonged periods.

Whenever I stop taking it, I start bleeding 48 hours later - and it appears from the instruction leaflet that this is usual. I haven't ever taken it for as little as five days though, so I don't know if that would make a difference. As it's a hormone, it wouldn't be surprising if it knocked your cycle out of kilter for a little while.

If you're worried about it, have a word with the GP just to put your mind at rest (and do a pregnancy test too, if you feel you need to).

Thanks LM thats what I thought too that I should have bled quite soon after stopping, have had very very light pink discharge today so hoping that will develop into something but have a feeling i've just buggered everything up with regards to my PCO, anyone else got any ideas?...
