i used to suffer severe pmt for about 10 days every month and got so desperate coping with my son that i went to the docs and she prescribed me Danol. She said it was not commonly used but could see i was on the verge of committing murder once a month?!?!

Im 39 now and have been taking the pills once a day for about the last 3+ years, they do stop your periods totally, which is why she said it was a radical treatment. I didnt care though. No periods , No PMT for over 3 years

For me the usual evening of primrose etc. didnt do a thing

id ask your gp then summerfruit, it took about 6months for it to stop my periods totally. I used to ring the gp and say "i still feel awful and im having periods!", she told me to give it time.Im soooooo glad i did.

I dont actually think it affects fertility! dont ask me how if youre not having periods?!

Good Luck

Agnus Castus helped me.

ChampagneAndFlowers · 18/11/2007 17:37

Someone on here some time ago recommended Agnus Castus (high strengh), Magnesium OK by Wassen and high strengh evening primrose Capsules. Supposed to help.

Walnutshell · 19/11/2007 08:51

What is Agnus Castus?

Let us know the outcome Summerfruit - good luck with GP

I found Pyridoxin (VitB6) very helpful. Not taken every day, but in the week or so leading up to my period. The right dose seemed to vary a bit - to find whar's right for you gradually increase the dose until your wee smells yeasty.

Or what about Mirena? Our family is complete so I'm going to get one fitted once my pweriods return. If it stops my periods, no PMT - I hope.

Acupunture.

Worked for me.
