Did anyone else decide against pre school MMR?

I've had umpteen appointments through the post and after talking to my homeopath have decided against getting DS2 vaccinated. He's under a paediatrician (sp?) for SN and this is another reason why I'm against it, just incase iykwim?

DS1 didn't have his and the nurse didn't bat an eyelid when I said he wasn't having it when he went for the remainder of the pre-school booster jabs. I didn't even have to give a reason.

I haven't ruled it out completely though, I wanted to delay it to split it from the other boosters as he'd been very ill earlier in the year and I didn't want to overload his immune system.

dd had first mmr but not the pre-school booster as we weren't convinced she needed it and anyway they wanted to give it on the same day as the other boosters (polio etc) which we thought was too much. We did mean to get her tested for immunity but never got round to it. She has been fine but my friend's son who had the booster caught measles!

Ds had already had bad reactions to earlier jabs and we didn't want to risk anything worse so he had single measles, mumps and rubella even though it meant a lot of expense and travelling. At the time we didn't want to leave him unvaccinated but wanted to minimise the risks as much as we could. I've had letters about preschool boosters but just ignored them.

Tiggiwinkle, was your son very ill when he had measles? My DD had a single measles jab and I'm not sure whether to let her have any booster jab; in fact I'm toying with the idea to take her to a measles tea party, should I find one...
I have been reading threads on vaccinations, MMR etc. for over a year now and it seems that you all (and me of course!) worry about whether your decision to vaccinate or not was right; and the only way to stop the worry seems to be for dd or ds to contract the illness and get it over with! Any thoughts on that anyone?
