I've had this abscess/boil for over 3 weeks now, it's not coming to a head and is just getting bigger and more painful. I've tried magnesium sulphate paste and a dressing for a few days, nothing happened, I soak in a hot bath every day but that's not bringing it to the surface either and I've tried a hot flannel. Any suggestions because it's really hurting, and this is my comfy pyjama bra but all my other ones the metal underwire digs right in to it

You need to get yourself to a gp and sporner corner. You chose which first.

Have you tried tea tree oil? My grandma (God rest her soul) would suggest putting a slice of onion on it for a few minutes every day. She didn't always smell so good but she lived to be 96 so I guess there might be something to it!

A nurse or gp will drain that for you

I haven't tried tea tree oil, I have tons of onions here so I'll definitely try that, thank you!

I had this a few years ago. Very painful and just got bigger. Blood tests revealed diabetes have not had one since. You need to see gp

Done an online consultation and uploaded a pic, didn't know my doctors did this or I'd have done it ages ago! They're going to get back to me by tomorrow evening

started 7 day course of antibiotics today and if they don't work he wants to drain it
