In a lot of pain. Any ideas before I rush to minor injuries

I'll make it brief. At around 4.30 yesterday I started to get sharp shooting pains around my thumb and wrist. 4 years ago I broke my radius at the wrist, which healed well and I needed minimal physio. No problems since. I took paracetamol but it got worse and by 7 was really hurting and I couldn't grip or hold anything. I tried an ice pack which didn't help but a hot water bottle did. I went to bed at 9 wearing the support brace I was given after the plaster was removed.

I have taken paracetamol throughout the night, Its still painful and I can't even hold an empty glass! I should add I twisted my ankle last Wednesday and fell forward onto my hands and knees walking the dogs. I had no pain from my arm then until yesterday. I had my 2nd covid vaccine on Saturday in that arm but can't see it would cause that much trauma, my wrist feels like it did when I fractured it.

Sorry for long post. Any advice welcome Smile

Sorry no suggestions but I think you may have to phone 111 for referral to minor injuries
