Pro-biotics for babies?

Ds (7m) is on anti-biotics due to a "pack-a-day" sounding cough

Is there anything I can give him when he's done, to help restore his gut bacteria?

Yes, I think so (check label on age, but dd is 11 mos and on them) Solgar do children's Acidophilus. Or if he's eating yoghurt, give him Activia (GP recommended) or other live yoghurt. When dd had dreadful runs after ABs, that wouldn't clear up, we gave her ordinary acidophilus caps emptied into her milk - one a day - till we could get the kiddies one. It worked, she's lots better.

Hope his cough's better soon!

thanks elibean. He's not been having any dairy, due to eczema-looking spots, but it might be the lesser of two evils there. Will look out for the Solgar.

saccromyces. It's not a probiotic- but it crowds out the nasties. Really sorted a lot of ds1's gut problems. We had kirkmans iirc from the dreaded nutricenter.
