Universal credit calling to check if “I’m okay”

I have been chronically sick for a while now and have been providing sick notes from my GP. My previous universal credit advisor never bothered me when I had a sick note.

Now I got a new advisor and she keeps calling me every two weeks to “check on me”, I mean she’s not a medical professional, why would she call me to check on me? Anyone please explain to me?

I’m still new to Universal credit but from my understand when you provide a sick not you’re not supposed to look for work and no one should be calling you until you’ll feel better.

Also what is she checking on? If she isn’t able to heal my illness? I’m finding very weird. Anyone else experiencing this?

They don't believe you're Ill & they're waiting until you run out of sick notes etc.

They're wellness notes rather than sick notes I believe nowadays.
