Burning pulling pain in left side of pelvis

Hi,

Occasionally, when I stand from sitting, I feel a pull on my left side, just in the pelvis, about 3-4 inches under and to the left of my belly button.

The pull is painful, but more of a burning pain, that subsides over the next minute or so.

I wondered if anyone else has experienced something similar or if anyone knows what it could be?

Many thanks!

Hi - do you mean that you’ve been experiencing this for a while or only recently? I’m worried it might be appendicitis or peritonitis, but if you’ve been experiencing it for a while, it’s maybe more likely to be a tight tendon / muscle?

Disclaimer: no medical training whatsoever.

Appendix?

I have been having the same issue - getting worse over the last couple of months . I have spoken to my doctor , and it seems it could well be something to do with my hip . She has put me in for an x ray to see what is the likely cause - arthritis possibly

Thank you all!

I don’t think it’s my appendix as it’s on the left hand side, but low and off central.

It’s been happening for a few months. Usually when I go from sitting to standing. It’s like an elastic band snap in my pelvis area following by a deep and painful burning sensation.

I’m not sure if it’s hip related as it’s more towards the front of my body, I drew a pic and marked the location.

It happens occasionally, so I was thinking a strain or pull, but it doesn’t really feel muscular either.
Just wondering if anyone else ever experienced similar.

Thank you all for the responses!

Have you ever had abdominal surgery? I have a very similar pain and it's caused by adhesions from surgery.

No, never had a surgery. Did suffer with cysts on ovaries previously 🤔

I get this. I put mine down to scar tissue from abdominal surgery.

DBML · 09/05/2021 23:09

I suppose you can have scar tissue without surgery, so perhaps a possibility. Thanks.

Same as this here too:

Have you had it checked out by GP? Would be worth doing just in case.
