Hair loss on arms, legs and pubic area

I’m 43 and have noticed in the last year or so that the hair on my legs and pubic area have stopped growing. There are a few hairy patches on my legs still but my pubic area is looking very sparse indeed 😳. My arms have always been quite hairy and because I gave dark hair, very noticeable. Today I’ve noticed that I have significantly fewer hairs on my arms too!

Is this something I should get checked or is it to be expected at my age (peri menopause or am I a bit young for that?)

I was diagnosed with a multi module goitre a few years ago but my bloods are checked yearly and are all in range.

Or could it be stress related? On top of the pandemic, in the last year my marriage has ended, I’ve moved house and have worked the most stressful year of my entire career 😬.

I’d be grateful for any thoughts please.

Around 45 I noticed my legs and arms were now pretty bald -pubes have gone into overdrive to make up for it though!

Seriously, my forearms are now totally bald (not underarms) and I can count maybe half a dozen hairs on each shin, the tops of my legs now I think about it are bald. I’m very, very dark so they were always noticeable and I had to shave my legs daily but now I don’t have to bother. I just assumed it was peri. I’m hypothyroid & have B12 injections so I have full range of bloods every 6 months & they always come back fine.

This.

I am dark haired and olive skinned and 48.

As a teen I hated my hairy arms and pits and navel.

Now I literally have no forearm hair. I shave under my arms once a fortnight.

And as for my nether regions - they are like a 1970s bad porn film, only grey to boot. Massive bush is an understatement. And randomly not a grey hair on my head which I know I’m lucky with.

Basically; hair on arms, legs, pits, head and eyebrows thinning
Hair in nose and pubic area like it’s had miracle grow.

I didn’t really notice at the time but have since realized That the hair on my legs disappeared at about the onset menopause.

Look into frontal fibrosing alopecia - mine went on my eye brows, legs and arms first and now - joy of joys - the hairline too
