Has anyone any experience of PMT symptoms mimicking early preganancy symptoms?

I am not pregnant. I have, however, for the last 3 - 6 months felt very tired, very, very emotional, spotty, and most oddly, nauseous, each month I've wondered, could I be pregnant? Knowing that I couldn't because my dh had be 'neutered' but still, these odd symptoms persist, I have never felt like this pre-menstrually before? Anyone else, or am I a total freak???!!!!

Just come home from the gynae.

As I thought, she told me that nausea is not a symptom of PMT, she has never heard of it.

She said it may be because I secretly would like another child and this is my body tricking me into feeling pregnant She did laugh when she said this, so I think she was joking. I almost fell off the chair, I definately do not want another child. We are done, thank you very much.

She also was very dismissive of the menopause thing, said I was too young and that when they say irregular periods, they mean missing periods for months and not just a cycle being 36 days instead of normal 28.

Tbh, she was not much help. I also had to force her to give me a different pill as I was even more nauseaus on the current one (stopped taking it). She has given me one without oestragon as that is the hormone that causes morning sickness in pregnacy.

So, really a waste of time asking her advice.

Thanks Orinoco but this is happening for a week or two every month before my af, I feel sick now so I know it's on it's way, acutally thought that I would vomit last night, was even off my wine! It's quite miserable, I could put up with it when I knew it was morning sickness but this is just....pointless.

i'm so glad i'm not the only one who feels like this! and i love going to see the Dr about it, you get those looks like you're nuts and they tell you it's nothing.

So, ladies, shall we re-write the symptoms of PMT to include nausea? Mine was so bad today I had convinced myself it must be morning sickness, although knowing full well it couldn't possibly be!
