Pale stools 3 yr old

My 3yr dd is a little off her food and "feeling a bit sick", and I noticed yesterday that her stools are very pale. Does this indicate illness or poor diet? Can anyone advise??

Don't know why it should be, but yes, it does seem to go with sickness-type illness with my two. If they are pale for long (the things we parents have to do, I never imagined I would look at another human's faeces with ANY interest), I would get her checked out by a GP to be on the safe side. What colour is her urine, katieh?

Her urine is normal - she isn't a good drinker at the best of times. As she's a bit poorly I am trying to get her to drink more - she has been drinking loads of milk recently - would that have any affect on colour of stools? (I know - I can't believe how we examine poos as Mum's - it's almost an obsession!)

Yes, milk is almost certainly the cause then Katie. Cast your mind back to those newborn nappies! Hope she feels better soon. There are a lot of these bugs around at the mo.
