chicken pox?

belgo · 13/11/2007 10:11

one of the childhood illnesses - roseola/slapped cheek for example.

I don't think chicken pox would give such a high temperature for so long before the spots.

Does she have a rash?

Has she had all of her immunisations?

Have you been to the doctor's?

DabblesInDistraction · 13/11/2007 10:14

no rash.
ha had chicken pox

she was 'ok' after a week, then had a complete relapse (luckily before i sent her back to school)

doc will surely just say viral...

and tbh she isnt 'ill' enough for doc as temp isnt constant...

maybe she's had a couple of viruses, one after the other, which is causing it to last this long?

Slapped cheek is characterised by very red cheeks,, but I think this happens after the main illness.

There are loads of viruses around, finding out which one it is is difficult, even for a doctor.

I assume the GP checked her for tonsilitis?

DabblesInDistraction · 13/11/2007 10:20

no gp just checked her ears. adn said they were very waxy and prob a result of not being well.. she ahsnt said her throat was sore...

andyhtign else ppl know of thta is 'goign round'?
