HELP! Whats happening to my toe?

Hey, so approximately Nov/Dec it was freezing and I kept going out with two pairs of socks and boots but whenever I'd come home my toes would be completely white and numb. One toe in particular starting feeling a bit strange, struggling to get blood to it and I remember a feeling of walking around like there was a sticker stuck under my toe. A few purple spots came up but I left it and hoped once the cold had gone it would heal properly. My toe now looks like this.. it goes numb easily and even in 15 degree weather it feels cold. Does anyone know what I can do?

Apologies for the toe picture, I know they're not nice! I've not been in the best of health recently and tried to avoid going back to the doctors with yet another problem but now I'm getting worried..

Could be Reynauds syndrome
I get it in my fingers

Onedayatatime14 · 20/04/2021 16:29

Just to add, sometimes it feels a bit sore, almost like it's being pinched. I also remember when it started getting a feeling like a band was around my toe

@dementedpixie I think I do have raynauds but this feels different. The 'texture' of the toe feels a little squidgy compared to the others and the purple patch has been there for 4 months now.

Did you ever have covid?
Maybe covid toes?

Onedayatatime14 · 20/04/2021 16:41

@dementedpixie not that I was aware of. I did look in to this but with no symptoms or positive test there's no knowing

Is it itchy could it be a chilblain? Does the circulation to the rest of your toes seem normal? Are you diabetic?

EBearhug · 20/04/2021 17:29

Please get it checked.

Onedayatatime14 · 20/04/2021 17:32

@CaraherEIL it did a little at first but now mostly just numbness and a bit sore. I'm not diabetic and I do struggle with circulation, other toes go white but not reacted like this toe

I'd have said chillblain. A good pharmacist might be able to advise. The big Boots near me has a consultation cubicle.

Iamblossom · 20/04/2021 17:36

Looks like Reynauds to me, I also get it in my finger, one only.

Onedayatatime14 · 20/04/2021 17:49

@emmathedilemma do they last months? I assumed if it was that it would have gone away by now!
@Iamblossom is it there all of the time? I've always struggled with my circulation but this just won't heal

I think Reynauds or a chilblain too, there are treatments available for both. But I would get it checked sooner rather than later as it if fully ulcerates it will be so difficult to get it to heal. The GP will also check the pulses in your feet which if the level of circulation is causing healing problems would be worth looking at.
