Should I go back to the doctor for nausea?

Earlier this year I went to the GP as I was struggling to eat a full meal and was loosing weight. I was referred to the hospital and had a telephone appointment with a gastroenterologist (I think). He suggested I buy some scales and get back in touch if it gets worse.

Over the last 6 weeks I’ve had daily nausea. I don’t know whether to call the hospital back or whether I’m over thinking. I’m quite stressed and exhausted at the moment due to some personal issues and I absolutely hate going to the go as I always feel like they’ll think I’m a hypochondriac so I get a bit over apologetic about feeling unwell. I know it’s weird and yes, I do have a history of anxiety.

What should I do? Wait it out for longer or give the hospital a call?

6 weeks of nausea is a lot. It would certainly be reasonable to call the GP, especially if you can't eat properly.
