My ds is 4 and a half, he has been on Eye Q, am just stopping it though and am not starting another oil. I am concerned that you should nottake any supplement long term, I saw a programme recently on this subject and it scared me a little. I havent notice any real effects from him being on the stuff anyway. Can you/should you take these oils indefinately?

It's only fish extract - the same as eating oily fish regularly. And that only has benefits.

the body is good at storing omega 3 and 6 so you can stop for a while as long as he is eating oily fish on a regular basis. It takes a few months for fish oils to work so pursue it further if you have only been giving it to him for a short term. What effects were you hoping to achieve - there may be others things that could be more beneficial.....
