DD(18months) is very sick. Coughing her lungs out. DH took her to doc this morning. Got some antibiotics.
She isn't drinking anything. She ate 3 spoonsfull of oats this morning, and a few fruitflakes just now.
Just want to know what I must watch out for as I'm scared she will get dehydrated because she doesn't want to drink anything.

Give her ice-lollies, jellies, anything water based. Filing that, syringe liquid in (you know, with medicine droppers).

If she's dehydrated she won't be weeing much, mouth and lips will be dry, dark rings under eyes, smelly breath. Her skin might not seem so 'elastic' either (won't spring quickly back into place if you gently pinch it).

Hope she feels better soon.

failing that

I'm sure she'll be fine When my dd has been dehydrated in the past, it was very obvious, her face was very sunken and she had dark circles under her eyes, looked like she had two black eyes!
Honestl if shes getting dehydrated you will notice straight away.
Hope she's feeling better soon

dry nappies is the biggy.

give her ice pops to suck...make them yourself bung in the freezer.

dont worry if she doesnt eat, just give drinks.

milk...water it down, quater milk, fill up with water.

give sips, have drinks around her..give her some of your water.

just get fluid into her.
