I had mine put in a few months ago after a miscarriage and I have had no problems at all, infact I haven't had even the slightest bit of bleeding.

If I was you I would ask to have it removed.

yeah i booked an appointment this morning. my sister has it also and has had no problems at all with it. i just dont think it agrees with my body

i told dp if he doesnt want anymore kids at the minute then he can be the one to get the protection

No probs here either, I know they said when I first had it that if I had problem bleeding they would put me on the pill aswell to try to get a routine but I have nothing at all, I think I must be lucky.

hi hansnava - I had the implant in for the full three years. For the first two it was great, no periods at all, then the last year they starting coming back really irregularly. They didn't last as long as yours, but I did have really godawful pms, almost depression-like symptoms.

I went to the doctors about the irregularity and she said that can happen as your hormone balance changes - you gradually get less from the implant as it goes on. Perhaps your hormone balance means it's not so good for you? (Not saying it's not working as a contraceptive - the doctor said it was still effective)

I've since talked to a friend whose sister had had it, and also had awful pms. I never had it so bad on the pill.

We're ttc at the moment, and I've already started thinking once we're done with babies it's over to dp to get the snip!

i think im just gonna give up on contraception and let him worry about it lol. nothing seems to agree with me when i was on the pill it gave me really unbearable period pains and the runs (sorry tmi)
now this bloody implant.

i would love another baby and he has been the one saying no not yet, maybe if he is the one that has to think about contraception he will maybe change his mind

Now that's a plan! Maybe I should try that one? LOL!
