was thinking natural sea salt for the bath and some nappy rash cream? anything else?

beachyhead · 01/11/2004 14:01

sudocrem always does my dd (7) some good if they are sore.

zephyrcat · 01/11/2004 14:02

i've had this problem too - can't see anything physically wrong tho and also don't know what to do about it!

misdee · 01/11/2004 14:04

she had a scratch last night as her special pj's werent dry in time for bed, so am thinking she may have scratched down there as well as her legs, arms etc.

SAme as my dd she has very sore bits i put e45 nappy rash but i find it is a bit like thrush, if she gets hot or has tights or tight trousers on she will scratch, it comes and goes but looks so sore poor things

good luckxxx

Sudocrem works on my dd (aged 4)

welshmum · 01/11/2004 14:36

Sudocrem does for mine too (2.5)

Easy · 01/11/2004 14:40

I'd use sudocrem if I were you. If it persists then go to dr.

I wouldn't use canesten as a matter of course. If it is thrush you need to do intensive medication over several days to properly get rid of it. Otherwise you are just making the thrush resistant to the canesten, so it will be harder to get rid of. See a dr. if you think she's got thrush. If you don't think it's thrush, then don't use canesten at all.

just been reading in the paper about an american cream called Boudreax's Butt Paste! apparently it's a miracle cream which can help all sore skin from nappy rash to eczema. There are plans to bring it to the UK next year, or you can contact them on 001 985 892 1348 or see www.buttpaste.com (by the way I'm not on commission)!

well just got back.got some metanium and some sodium bicarbonate for her bathwater. all the bath salts they had were fragenced so thought best to steer clear cos of her ezcema.

she is off to scotmalnd on weds with her grandparents so will probably have to pack these for her as well.
