Occupational health/ VDU assessment at home

Hi,

My husband has chronic musculoskeletal pain that I think may be due to how he sits at his work station (he sits bent over like gollum). It is a long term issue but has got noticeably worse since having to work from home. Previous attempts to get his company to do a VDU workstation assessment (prior to CoVid) failed as the number of management levels needed to authorise this is immense (which is odd given they are really good employers in other ways). It seems it is only prioritised if it is so bad that you have to go off sick. It is not so bad that he needs to be signed off sick but it is affecting his life (reduced mobility). Something needs to be done. I don't care about forcing the company to do it/ pay for it.

Are there private qualified occupational health people (nurses?) that can be employed to do a VDU assessment in your own home and recommend changes e.g. new chair, adjust height of desk/ computer? Has anyone used such a service and would you recommend them?

Many Thanks
