Pale pink lump came out of vagina after painful sex

Wasn’t sure where the best place to post this was!

Sex isn’t usually painful but occasionally is in deeper positions, assumed maybe it’s where my cervix is lower at different points in my cycle? I’m on the combined pill (although, have been taking packets back to back with an occasional break, rather than the normal 21 day with 7 day break).
Sex has been painful in some positions over the last couple of days, and this morning after, I wiped after peeing immediately after and there was pale pink discharge on the tissue. I then saw a small (1cm) pale pink “lump” in the toilet. I’ve not seen anything like it before and googling isn’t helping at all. It looked like a cross between discharge and jelly I guess.

Any ideas what this could be? I’m due to have an internal exam due to painful periods soon so hoping it isn’t related, but I will be getting examined properly soon.

It’s probably just jelly type discharge, but you can ask when you get checked out.

Can I ask why you don’t change positions if one is uncomfortable??

Hopefully that’s it!

Oh we do, I’ve said it hurts and stopped/changed. I just mean, is it related, as usually those positions wouldn’t be uncomfortable.

See your Dr/ Gynaecologist.

Just from my reading up in the past for my own issues;
There could be lots different possible causes.
Uterine Fibroids, Uterine Polyps, pink discharge after sex can be a sign of uterine polyps. Ovarian Cysts, Infections such as STI, Pregnancy including ectopic, Cervical Cancer with other symptoms. Or something else completely benign.

Have you had a baby before? Not to panic you, but Is it at all possible you could be pregnant and not know? Contraceptive not always a 100%. It is just the jelly type consistency and colour sounds a lot like the mucus plug from the cervix (also known as a "show") a sign of imminent labour. Hopefully not as drastic as this possibility but just get checked out by your dr asap.

Ps. for the record I'm not a medic, I just suffered a long time with undiagnosed period problems, pelvic pain and other symptoms but it led me to read up a lot on women's problems, gynae type issues and conditions. And I had a pink show like you described that I seen when I first went into labour with my DD.

Thank you for replying. Eek - it’s scary! I’ve taken a pregnancy test that came back negative, so hopefully not that. I’m going to ring the gp now and try and get an earlier appointment or some advice
