LOL! It's horrible isn't it!? Mine did that and my husband and I didn't know what to think. I finally found it in a book that said it's normal and will pass. When i took baby to the doctor next he checked everything and confirmed this. It just stopped by itself. BTW, whenever I wanted someone to hear it, it was quiet.

bumbly, take him to the docs just to get it checked out and to make sure the sound isnt coming from his hip, if it is it is very easily treated at this point, but if left it can be difficult

def not from hip but from ankle/shin

may i ask which book???

many many thanks

THe book / bible was baby love by Robin Barker. My doctor said the clicky hip thing is very different. i sometimes got the clicky thing from somewhere near his shoulder. It's hard to explain the sound/feel isn't it? I'll quote the book "many parents notice their baby's joints crack, most noticeably the knees and shoulders. Clicky hips may need treatment but cracky knees and shoulders are quite normal". It then goes on about clicky hips which normally fix themselves anyway but should be monitored by a doctor. hope you feel relieved!
