Small firm hard lump under areola next to nipple

I have posted this on women’s health but as my referral date nears I am a bag of nerves.

I have found a small (0.5cm) firm to hard lump smaller than a pea but a sort of petite pois size. It is located next to my nipple under the areola. I have to push down to feel it. It is not painful and I think it moves sometimes but then other times feels fixed.

Two different GPs have felt it. Both said not suspicious to them but been referred.

My breast clinic appointment is on Thursday and I am worried sick to be honest. I am 37 with a 7 year old and my husbands auntie died of secondary breast cancer 2 weeks ago so feeling even more sick over it all.

Has anyone ever had something similar me?

@emmajayn3 Just a message to say I understand how you feel! I had a breast clinic appointment on Thursday and I hadn't ate or slept for the 3 weeks before whilst waiting. I don't think I ever felt fear like it in my life and really don't want to ever experience it again. However everything in my case turned out ok and was just lumpy tissue due to pregnancy. I hope everything will be ok but the worrying is just debilitating x

Awww I remember you posting you had good news @Fawn68 :)
I was doing ok in the week and kept saying it will be OK but now I am just thinking but what if it’s not. I can’t leave my boy...

Ooh sounds just like my fibroadenoma. I’ve had it since I was 20! It’s in the same place. Mine is very very mobile though, but it’s firm. I’m sure it’ll be the same thing.

Just messaging to say, I have the very same thing, same size, same place and also itchy and have a referral too, also have a 7 and 11 year old. Fx all is okay for us, here if you need to talk, I am very scared too as have a lot of family history. X

@year5teacher thanks for replying I’m praying mine is something similar x x

@funnyoldonion mine has not been itching but I’ve come on today and it feels bigger so not sure if it’s something sinister growing or an indication it’s a cyst. It’s so stressful. When is your referral hun x
