Day 11 of headache. BP 160/159 as soon as I wake up

My Dr isnt worried. My BP was 165/ 148 and 165/138 so he said buy a new machine and booked me for a bp test with the nurse next week.

I was told to take 900mg of asprin which I have four times but nothing stops the headache.

It's been constant. Non stop for 11 days now. It wakes me up.

Dr said it's not high enough to be the cause of a headache but another dr said the day before to go straight to a&e if I am sick.

One of the dr want me to call again today ( the one who said a&e if I'm sick while the surgery is closed for the weekend) but the lead partner said if my BP really is 160/140 on Thursday they will swop my BP meds.

In the meantime I cant deal with this headache. I have never had a headache or migraine for more than five days. This is a very localized part of my head too

Speak to 111. That BP is high, IMO. Together with the headache I would be worried. My BP is normal at 110/ 70 and I am in my 60s.

How are you OP?

ConeHat · 22/03/2021 21:10

I woke up around 5pm with a droopy face yesterday and a slur so I phone 111 and was blue lighted to resus with suspected bels palsey but question of stroke.

I had a CT scan last night and have been a acute ward for 24 hours now. I think I'm waiting for a lumber puncture and / or MRI tomorrow.

They dont think it's a bleed but they said it might be a virus hence lumber puncture.

Day 12 of killer headache. My BP goes back up when my blood presure tablets are due.
