milk teeth - advice please!

My dd (7) lost two of her milk teeth about 6 months ago and still nothing is growing back.

I thought that milk teeth were pushed out by the new adult teeth so they should grow quite quickly.

Is a trip to the dentist in order?

The teeth don't push the new teeth out, the root just starts to die by itself when its ready.

My dd had 2 rows of bottom teeth for a while, with the new teeth coming up behind the old ones.
