DS2, 16 months, started with a spotty rash on his chin about 3 weeks ago. I took him to the docs and was given some Fucidin (sp) cream for it. Used it for 2 weeks and took him back as it wasn't cleared up. Saw a different dr this time who told me "lots of babies get this, they dribble a lot" and to "put some moisteriser on if you remember" I tried to get an appt with the original dr today, but there is nothing till next wednesday. Also got a lecture off the receptionist about not wanting to see the other one, but that's another thread!

So, eventually getting to the point, is there anything you can reccomend I can buy over the counter to put on his face? It is really red, all round his mouth, chin and nose. It doesn't seem to bother him, apart from when it's wiped, but it looks horrible.

Try Aveeno its an oatmeal based emollient - very gentle- I use it for DD's excema with good results. Also avoid wiping his face with baby wipes - just use water and kitchen towel.

I'd recommend Aveeno moisturiser. It's oat based and mild. You can sometimes get it on prescription, depending on your GP.
If you can't get Aveeno, try an ordinary emollient cream several times a day to keep it moisturised

Thanks very much for that. I've never heard of it. I shall buy some this afternoon on the way to school.

If it works well for your LO - ask your GP to prescribe it.
