Lump in throat feeling and achey chest for a year

Has anyone had this?

I have the feeling of a lump in my throat, sometimes it's on its own and sometimes my chest aches at the same time. Eating and drinking makes it disappear. Food doesn't get stuck, I have no breathing problems.

I went to the doctor when it started around a year ago and they couldn't feel anything in my neck and couldn't hear anything untoward in my chest. She suggested it could be stress or possibly a reflux issue, so she gave me something to see if it was reflux but it never made any difference. I never went back to the doctor but it's so annoying I know I should go back.

It's there most days but not every day and usually in the evenings (although occasionally all day).

When I'm running I can't usually notice it. No change in weight or appetite etc.

Anyone have any suggestions on what this could be please?

Stress and anxiety i get it a lot

Is it? I've never suffered with stress and anxiety before. I've had a stressful year (on top of COVID) but I wouldn't say I suffer with anxiety.

Would it cause both symptoms for a year?

I was going to say stress/anxiety

Google globus sensation I had it, and its stress and anxiety

It sounds like silent reflux - I have it.

Stress does not help but it can largely be controlled by diet.

I had thought about this but it doesn't mention the chest ache symptom so thought it couldn't be that.

Wouldn't the reflux medication the dr gave me last year have worked if it was silent reflux?

Please ask for an endoscopy referral it could be anxiety but it could also be something like Barrats oesophageal, which needs treatment
