I have a 10 month old who was born with a blood shot eye (only a small red dot on the white section on eye). The midwives and doctors in hospital said it would just go away after a while yet it’s still there. I have noticed today that it has also got a little bigger. I have taken her to GP who wasn’t sure why it’s still there and said to take her to an optician. I did so and she wasn’t sure either but has referred her to see someone in the hospital which we are waiting for. I just wondered if anyone else had experienced the same thing with a blood eye in babies. All the googling I do just comes with saying it’ll go within 2-3 weeks. 10 months on and it’s still there. It doesn’t bother her at all and there are no concerns that her vision is affected. Just odd that it hasn’t gone away.
