Husband has chest tightness dizzy and breathless

Can anyone help with what this might be? My husband is 47 and has always been fit and well.in the past couple of weeks he has felt generally unwell and has gone on to develop chest tightness, feeling dizzy and short of breath. At the weekend this ended up with me calling him an ambulance as he was grey, breathless and dizzy. Ambulance did all of tests and meds for a heart attack and sent him off to a&e. He was back home within a few hours as ecg and bloods were all fine. However he is still unwell at home but is concerned that people will think he it faking it or it is anxiety (although he has never suffered with anxiety before). Should he go and see his gp or are the tests from a&e conclusive?

Ring 111 for advice

Trust your instincts

You are worried enough to post here, so I’m guessing at the very least you need to call 111 straight away

Changeismyname · 02/03/2021 06:38

Erm yes he should definitely seek more medical advice

BugsAndBeesAndBirdsAndButterfl · 02/03/2021 06:45

Id seek advice.

(Has he had a covid test? I had similar symptoms but Id be worried about more serious things too.)

GP or 111 definitely make sure you explain how grey he went and that he still is very unwell. They need to get to the bottom of this. Hope he feels better soon

Has he had covid? I had similar symptoms and ended up in a&e. They said I have long covid

vestastilly · 02/03/2021 08:35

Hmm I will be booking him an appointment with the gp for him when they open. Thanks for the advice every and calming my early morning panic.

Anxiety can hit at any time, and not always triggered by any specific worrying event, so he shouldn't completely dismissed thus possibility but if course needs everything else considered.

Has he has a blood test?

hollieberrie · 02/03/2021 10:08

I also had these symptoms with long covid

ShakeaHettyFeather · 02/03/2021 10:09

Has he had a Covid test? It sounds like Covid or a long Covid relapse (which AFAIK there's still no test for).

TheCanyon · 02/03/2021 10:15

I presume they listened to his chest? I had similar symptoms with pneumonia and a collapsed lung.

Changeismyname · 03/03/2021 11:50

OP how is your DH did he speak with the Dr?
