Feeling of pressure in uterus.

For the last few weeks I've become aware of a feeling of pressure in my uterus. It isn't painful at all, whether I press down or not, but it's a heavy feeling, a bit like just before I get my period or the early weeks of pregnancy.

I have no other symptoms and as it isn't painful or causing me any real issue I don't know whether it's something to go to the GP with. I know the waiting list for anything gyne is incredibly long too.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

How old are you ? Are you on contraception ?
At what point in your cycle does this happen ?
Do you know that your cervix moves up and down during your cycle, so you could be feeling that or ovulation pain.

I'm 31. No contraception but using condoms, definitely not pregnant. I was wondering if it was something related to ovulation, but it's been going on for about 2 weeks now and I haven't experienced it before.

When you say 'definitely not pregnant', what are you basing that on? Recent period, negative test, or no recent intercourse?

Recent period.

Was your period as long or heavy as usual?

Prolapse is possible
This can feel different through out the month.

Adenomyosis is also possible

I was also going to say adenomyosis-
Endometriosis in the muscle of the uterus. Do you get bad period pain / cramping/ swollen tummy?

Namechangegame123 · 01/03/2021 07:34

My tummy can get a bit swollen but my periods aren't overly painful.

I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative.

I’m feeling exactly the same, it’s really uncomfortable. Did you go to the doctors?

Had a similar issue this summer, the weirdest feeling and I really thought I had a prolapse (although did a pregnancy test too) so booked a check up with Gynecologist, it turned out I was severely constipated which was causing a pressure feeling. Easy to resolve luckily.
