HELP Chicken Pox

HELP, have 2 children with me at the minute who both have chicken pox. One is 2 and one is 10 months! Am using Piriton for 2 yr old and calpol for both!

What else can i do? Poor things are itchy!

Poor kids and poor you ! Tepid bath in Bicarb of soda worked for ds - seemed to soothe the itching and dried them up pretty quickly too. Smear Calamine lotion or cream on them too.

Calamine lotion helps - pink smell stuff - just dab it on.
Also frequent baths - not too hot! But obviously dab dry not rub!

forgot to add am using calamine like its another layer of clothes!

Have just got both kids off to sleep so peace for an hour!

Not sure about bathing them cos im a childminder and cant use me bathroom!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chamomile or lavender cream are good if you can get hold of any, or aloe vera gel.

Now I know this sounds mad, but try putting them in a bath of porridge oats. For some reason it does stop the itching
