Tickly Teeth!

My dd (5) has been complaining over the last week or so of 'tickly teeth' mainly at nighttime. At first I thought this was stalling behaviour at bedtime but she has been waking up complaining of it too.

Is this symptomatic of her baby teeth getting ready to come out or the new ones forming in the gum (when I ask her where this discomfort is she tends to point to her gums)and if so is there anything I can do to help other than giving Calpol as I am now or do you think it needs to be checked out more thoroughly?

She has only lost one baby tooth so far - in fact she knocked it out when she was two - and none seem to be loose as yet. The thing is she isnt complaining of pain just 'tickling' do you think that sounds like a nerve thing? If so I suppose bonjela would dull that down?
