INTERNAL ULTRASOUND????

My doc is sending me for an internal scan to check out my womb/cervix etc and im really worried!

Does it hurt? Can anyone let me know what it is like?

I had one, but I didn't know they even existed about 10 seconds before they did it At least I didn't have anytime to get worried about it

thanks tcmummy. Its not for a few weeks which i guess is why i asked now! I hate not knowing!!

I have had loads of these, to diagnose PCOS, then to monitor my ovaries whilst on clomid, then as early pregnancy scans.

They have never hurt (smears are horrible) if anything slightly embarassing but don't worry about it.

Make sure they cover the scanner with a condom thingy! (The thought that it has been used in other people was the only thing I worried about! Not sure how they clean them)

I had one of these when I hasd my 12 week nuchal scan because they couldn't see what they needed to with the normal technique. It didn't hurt at all but just made me need the loo. In fact I thought I'd wet myself which everybody especially dh thought was hilarious. But I'd say nothing to worry about.

I've had these and they've never hurt.
