Wierd ridge/lump/colouring on breast. Pic enclosed

Both breasts have been extremely painful all week. I noticed this on underside of just 1. Ridge has been there all week and has odd colouring. Could have been there longer, I only noticed due to the pain.

Been to gp who has referred me for further investigation. I do have implants which are about 17 years old now.
Could they be the cause or should I prepare for the worst?

Could it be mastitis? My friend had this (she had her babies years ago!!!!) and she had a line like this, does it go up to your nipple? The line was very painful.

Who has the GP referred you to, the breast clinic?

Oh yes mastitis is something I hadn't considered!
Yes referred to breast clinic, on a 2 week referral. I saw him Wed's pm but heard nothing else since

If its any help when I was diagnosed last year the doctor told me they always worry more about lumps etc that are painless. The fact that its so painful probably indicates an infection or similar. However its totally the right thing to get it checked out. Let us know how you get on.
