Any idea what this is on my finger (photo)

Been there for months maybe years, seems to flare up sometimes and then nearly go. It's raised up, dry, bumpy. Sometimes it's itchy. Other fingers are OK.

I'd contact my GP if that were me and ask to send a photo for them to look at x

Could it be a whitlow? That's a really common area to get them but if it's not painful might not be one.

Oh I just googled whitlow and it does look like it. I'll stop trying to nibble it off my finger then before I spread it to my mouth.

Will ring the GP now! Thanks
